Given the genre Ilike to read, It was suggested that I take a look at The Hunter Killer series. Once I’d read the first, I kept going until this most recent read, Warshot. Wallace and Keith apparently do a significant amount of research and this shows through in their writings. Like it’s 5 predecessors, Warshot is well thought out, the plot keeps you deeply engaged, not wanting to put the book down. The specifics on locations kept me going to google to better immerse myself exactly where the action was taking place. The USA/China interaction in the book could be viewed as a harbinger of the relationship between us and China. One certainly does not wish such, but it makes the book that more interesting and relevant with respect to current relationships. Just wish they’d write faster as the 7th in the series isn't due out for nearly a year! A decent story line and multiple plot twists, that unlike other novels in this series. Are actually finished at the end of the book. Another ineffective president to root against, no surprise in the narrative. Most of the original characters are brought back and progress nicely from book to book. But after six novels there really are not too many more countries we can pick a fight with us. This novel really shows the research and attention to detail missing from previous novels.
